Recentley Asked Questions:
Is criticism allowed?
27 September 2007
I am e-mailing you with a comment rather than a question, I have brought this matter up in the past and never really
received a proper answer/reply. My concerns are that in the last few
months the Trust has almost addopted a siege mentality in that anybody
who criticises or is perceived to criticise the Trust, The Club etc is
automatically labelled as "anti-County", "anti-Trust" etc, the latest
example of this was Jim Gannon picking out and picking on a supporter at
a fans forum and humiliating him for airing views on a message board,
now as someone who has known Jim for many years and has spent many happy
hours with him I find it strange that he would do this particularly when
there have been occassions when past and cuurent Trust Board members
have on the same messageboard made comments about team selection,
tactics etc, Is that the difference, that the person in question was an
easy target? If he had a problem with what was said why not approach the
person and discuss it with them face to face? If you are going to answer
that free speech entitles Jim to do what he did then by the same token
then the supporter in question becuase of free speech can air his
views, the difference is that Jim did itin a public meeting where as the
views aired by the supporter were made on a message board that at best
is read by a couple of hundred people, it seems to me that as long as
you agree with everything that the Trust does and are one of the
"selected few" who know more then ordinary supporters then you are ok,
but god forbid that you actually try to air your views if they
contradict the Party Line!!!
