The Trust Board Members:
Please read the profiles in the context of the Board Members' Roles and Responsibilities. We work very hard for the Trust and Stockport County and don't apologise if our profiles are a little light-hearted.
David Hoyle Chairman |
![]() |
David was elected to the Trust Board in 2005 and has served as Treasurer until being elected Chairman in April 2007. He is Stockport born and bred and has been a County supporter for over 50 years having stood in the old wooden stand at the Cheadle end with his Dad as a very young boy (honest).
|
|
| He now is a season ticket holder in the Main Stand (block B, row D, seat 97). He lives and works in Marple and runs, with his wife, an award winning business whose name is prominent as a sponsor on the new Supporters Disabled Minibus. | |
His ambition is to build a stronger Trust, with more members, capable of helping County to the success that the supporters deserve. |
George Hudson Vice Chairman & SCFC Director |
![]() |
Initially a City fan George found he preferred the gritty and grim County of the late 80's - only for County to go on an incredible run up the divisions. Things have thankfully settled back down now. |
|
George works in business relationship and delivery areas of the IT industry. |
Steve Bedder |
![]() |
Steve has been a County fan since his first match in the early 80's. Whilst running his own successful County website, Steve offered his services to the Trust which led to him developing a membership database and re-developing the Trust website.
|
|
| Steve is a Consultant for one of the UK's leading design & data management solution providers and is hopeful he can use his knowledge and expertise to help the Trust and Stockport County succeed even further. | |
Norman Beverley SCFC Chairman |
![]() |
Norman has always taken more of an interest in the machinations of a football club than the average fan, having had positions in Supporters Direct and being a keynote speaker at international football conferences. |
|
Norman's love of the club and his interpersonal and leadership skills serve the County and Trust Boards equally well. |
Stuart Cree SCFC Director |
![]() |
Stuart has supported Stockport County since his father first took him to a match in 1960. He was brought up and educated in Stockport and is now father to two children and a "grown-up son". |
|
His background is in telecommmunications, having owned and sold-on a large company, which means he is the man to talk to about how to use those special features on your mobile phone. |
|
Rob Donaldson Membership, Bonds and Administration |
![]() |
Rob has been involved with the Trust from its point of inception. |
|
| He has been a County fan since moving to the area 14 years ago but in his closet are the admissions that he was born in Stoke(!), was brought up in South Wales and followed Cardiff City. The final nail in the coffin is that his first match was 46 years ago when he was a toddler and his father took him to watch Port Vale play. |
Mark Evans Special Projects Manager |
![]() |
Born and bred on the streets of Edgeley, Mark clearly remembers the glow of the floodlights and the roar from EP on Friday nights and his inquisitive nature took him to the ground as a youngster and he has been a County fan ever since. |
|
Fortunate to have lived abroad in the paradise of Bermuda for 11 years, he returned to the UK in 2001. Mark is a highly skilled jewellery manufacturer by trade and he is now the technical manager of a company supplying tools and training to jewellers. He also owns a small villa in Cyprus. |
|
| We are still trying to work out if his photo was taken in Cyprus or Cleethorpes. | |
Paul Kershaw |
![]() |
Paul has been a County supporter since the early sixties. He's been an active member of our Trust from the beginning, being a member of the working party right through to being an elected member of the board. He stepped down a little more than a year ago to take a rest. Batteries recharged he's more than pleased to be recalled as a co-opted member of the board. |
|
Gary Kimber Commercial Opportunities |
![]() |
Gary was elected onto the Trust Board in 2006 after spending nearly a year as a co-opted board member. |
|
Gary's skills are in his amazing personal drive and commitment to the cause in the context of identifying and seeing through commercial opportunities. |

Dan Levy |
![]() |
Dan Levy has been supporting County since the grim days of the mid 70s Summerbee team and been an active member of the Trust since its inception. |
|
Dan played a key role as one of the negotiators of our acquisition of the club and has been a Director of County since the proud day we bought it, his wish being that County be successful both on and off the pitch for the future security of the fans' football club. |
|
| His background is in the finance industry, focussing on IT financing, with employers including BT and investment bank Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein. He lives in Oxfordshire with his wife and with two Brentford supporting sons. | |
Mark Maguire SCFC Managing Director |
![]() |
Mark had been a SCFC Board Director in unhappier times and was co-opted by the Trust Board in order that he could direct his energies into getting it right this time. |
|
Mark has made significant efforts in setting up an infrastructure that will last for many years at Stockport County. |
|
Graham Noden |
![]() |
Graham has lived in Stockport all his life. His family have been Stockport County fans for over 70 years and through his company, R.G.N. Flooring Supplies, he has sponsored matches for over 10 years. He is looking forward to supporting the Trust for the future of Stockport County. |
|
Alan Walkinshaw Trust Communications |
![]() |
After spending his formative years following fourth division Gillingham, Kent-born Alan moved to Stockport 29 years ago and found his new footballing home at Edgeley Park after a brief flirtation with the team from Trafford. |
|
His inside knowledge of of how football clubs operate is of great benefit to the Trust and he is proud to represent our fine body of supporters. |
|
| The demanding management responsibilities of Alan's role on the Trust Board are a good fit with Alan's personal attributes - it's a good move to do what he says. | |
