Vote for Ashley Williams!
1 October 2007

County skipper Ashley Williams has been short-listed, along with Bury's Andy Bishop and Rochdale's Glenn Murray, for League 2 Player of the Year at the North West Football Awards.

The nomination justifiably recognises Ash's immense performances over the last eighteen months that has seen him earn the skipper's arm band at Edgeley Park and also emerge as a contender for the Welsh international squad.

Now the club would urge all the Blue & White Army to help Ashley win this prestigious award by voting on line at:

Thank you for your continued support.

Graham White

It is with deep sadness that we heard this morning that Grahame White, Honorary President of Stockport County, had passed away. He was a true gentleman who loved the Club and Stockport County Supporters Trust will be forever thankful for his help and support. Our sympathies go to Angela and Stuart. He will be greatly missed.

More Communication from the Trust:
1 August 2007

Over the past 12 months the Trust Board have actively sought to improve the communication between themselves and the supporters through such avenues as Trust Talk, forums and the Trust website.

To further improve that communication the Trust Board have requested and have been allocated a page in Countys award winning match day programme, TrueBlue.

The page will be used to inform the supporters of any news, views or forthcoming events and will solely be used as a further communication aid between the Trust and the fans.

The programme notes will, as last season, also be posted here on the Trust website for those supporters unable to attend any home match or who do not have access to a programme.

Danny Bergara - RIP

Danny Bergara

All at Stockport County Supporters Trust were sad and upset to hear that a true County hero, Danny Bergara died yesterday morning following a stroke. He had been manager at Stockport County from 1989 to 1995 and had led the team to promotions as well as the unforgetable Wembley trips.

He continued to be held in great affection and admiration on his return visits to Edgeley Park and he will be sadly missed.

David Hoyle
(Chairman)

New Trust Chairman Appointed:

Proving that we are an evolving organisation with both the business agility and people to renew ourselves, a major change was recently made to the Trust Board.

Chair Stuart Cree, who has guided the Trust so successfully over the past 18 months is being allowed to concentrate his time on SCFC Directorial duties, and the leadership of the Trust has passed over to David Hoyle.

David was elected to the Trust Board in 2005 and has served as Treasurer until being elected Chairman in April 2007. He is Stockport born and bred and has been a County supporter for over 50 years having stood in the old wooden stand at the Cheadle end with his Dad as a very young boy (honest).

He now is a season ticket holder in the Main Stand (block B, row D, seat 97). He lives and works in Marple and runs, with his wife, an award winning business whose name is prominent as a sponsor on the new Supporters Disabled Minibus.

His ambition is to build a stronger Trust, with more members, capable of helping County to the success that the supporters deserve.

Three New Board Members:

It is with great pleasure that the Trust Board can announce the recruitment of three new members onto the Trust Board. Steve Bedder, Paul Kershaw and Graham Noden have all recently been Co-Opted onto the Trust Board.

Steve Bedder

Steve has been a County fan since his first match in the early 80's. Whilst running his own successful County website, Steve offered his services to the Trust to develop a Membership Database to assist the membership secretary. Shortly afterwards, Steve was asked to take over the running of the Trust website and has been actively working with the Trust Board on various projects.

Steve is a consultant for a leading design & data management solutions provider based in Stockport.

Paul Kershaw

Paul has been a County supporter since the early sixties. He's been an active member of our Trust from the beginning, being a member of the working party right through to being an elected member of the board. He stepped down a little more than a year ago to take a rest. Batteries recharged he's more than pleased to be recalled as a co-opted member of the board.

Graham Noden

Graham has lived in Stockport all his life. His family have been Stockport County fans for over 70 years and through his company, R.G.N. Flooring Supplies, he has sponsored matches for over 10 years.

He is looking forward to supporting the Trust for the future of Stockport County.

Rearranged Fans Forum - Sunday 18th March:

As you will no doubt be aware, the Trust Board had to postpone the Fans Forum that had been scheduled for January 6th. The postponement was due to playing our FA Cup match away at Watford.

We are pleased to inform you that the Fans Forum has now been re-scheduled for Sunday 18th March 2007 in the Sapphire Suite at Edgeley Park. Kick off will be at 2pm and the bar will be open. This is the members opportunity to find out the latest news, ask questions and generally meet the members of the Trust Board.
