Mark Evans brings us the latest Trust News
The Stockport County Supporters Trust is more than just those who have been elected onto the Trust Board or co-opted onto the board.
The Stockport County Supporters Trust is all about the fans ownership and fans taking part in all aspects of it.
We need fans who would like to be more involved at any level to come forward and let us know.
There are some projects coming up which can involve fans of all ages.
There is a project to improve the training facility at Timperley, which will be carried out during close season in the summer of 2008. For this we need fans who can offer any help with general DIY and decorating skills.
We have a lifelong County fan who is a fully qualified electrician who has offered to help and purchase the materials at cost price.
Can you help in any way?
We also need help spreading the word about the Local Business Affiliate Scheme.
This scheme is year round and doesn't just end when the season ends.
So do you know of any businesses that could benefit from low cost advertising from just £50 a year?
If so please pass on their details to any Trust Board member or ask them to look at this link:

All the money raised from the sales of the LBA scheme is put into the Rainy Day Fund.
Our recent raffle was a success due to the volunteers who helped to sell so many tickets to raise even more money for the RDF. I would like to thank all those volunteers for their help, it is much appreciated.
We also need to start looking for suitable candidates to stand for the next elections and welcome any fan to come forward and discuss with ourselves what is involved.
There is a Trust Board rota system in effect which means that we sometimes get time off to just watch football and socialise with our friends and families, this rota also helps spread the workload.
Part of the rota involves wearing a suit and tie and carrying out Directors duties for the day by entertaining the Away Directors.
We all have individual roles and we certainly need more help. We could use help in preparing the Trust base before and after each home match. Can you spare 20 minutes before and after a match?
There are many misconceptions about what we actually do and I would like to reassure fans that we all volunteer our time without any type of payment or compensation. This in effect saves the club a lot of money, so that money in the bank can be used for running Stockport County.
If you can help us in any way, please come forward.
Please contact the Trust by email info@stockportcounty.com or speak to any Trust Board member in person before the match at the Trust base or after the match.
I started out as a volunteer myself and now I am an elected member of the Trust board.
Finally, on behalf of the County Trust, could I wish all our fantastic supporters a very Happy Christmas.
Come on County!
