Steve Bedder tells us "We want to work with local businesses"
Good Afternoon everyone, and a very warm welcome to Wrexham F.C. and all their supporters from the Stockport County Supporters Trust.
I’d first like to introduce myself for those who don’t know me….
My name is Steve Bedder and I’ve been on the Board of the Trust since early 2007. I’ve been a County fan for as long as I can remember, attending my first match on a rainy Friday night against Northampton in January 1984. I am involved in many different areas and initiatives of the Trust but most recently I have spent most of my time putting together the LBA Scheme with my Trust Board colleagues.
The Local Business Affiliate Scheme was launched to give small to medium local businesses an opportunity to get involved with the Trust and help raise money for the Rainy Day Fund, in return for exposure of their business, products or services.
Many local businesses need to market their products and services but just don’t always get the value from paying high prices to specialist marketing organisations. Paying for both on-line and print marketing can also be a time consuming and costly experience.
As we are a community club and want to work with the local businesses around us, the Trust set up the Local Business Affiliate scheme to provide a cost effective method of providing the on-line and print marketing that many local businesses need.
The scheme offers three level of affiliation; Gold at £200 per season; Silver at £100 per season and Bronze at £50 per season. Members can also sign up for three seasons at a reduced cost. All the money raised from the LBA scheme goes into the Rainy Day Fund.
There are a number of benefits that come with signing up as an LBA member which include:
- Business details and activities added to the Trust website.
- Inclusion into the Trusts quarterly newsletter, TrustTalk
- VIP match tickets for Gold members
- LBA Member poster to display on the premises of the business
- One lucky Gold member will win the use of a pitch side advertising hoarding.
- One lucky Silver member will win a player sponsorship package.
Already we have had a number of businesses from the Edgeley, Cheadle, Davenport and surrounding areas sign up to become members. A full list can be found at on the Trust website.
To assist the Trust with recruiting more members to the LBA scheme and giving more local businesses the opportunity from benefiting, we are asking you, the County fans to pass on the details of the LBA scheme to you friends, family and colleagues.
If you know anyone in a business that will benefit from joining and would want to help raise money for the Rainy Day Fund you can point them in direction of the LBA Information Pack that is available on the Trust website. Alternatively, you can fill in the company contact details on the website and they will receive a pack with all the information and a sign-up form.
Alternatively, you can email lba@stockportcountytrust.com with any questions, query’s or local business details you might have.
Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy the match.Come on County!
