Steve Bedder gives us an update from the Trust

Good evening and welcome to the final match of the 2007-08 season at Edgeley Park ... but hopefully not County's last match of the season!True Blue

I made the trip to Adams Park last weekend to watch Stephen Gleeson score that superb equaliser, but for me that wasn't the only superb event of the day. The other one was the support the magnificent travelling Blue & White army delivered before, during and after the match.

Even before Sky Sports had started broadcasting and the players had come out of the tunnel, the County faithful were making their voices heard. Singing, cheering and making sure that Wycombe knew that even though we were 180 miles from Edgeley Park, the 1200 in the away end were cheering on the County players on behalf of the thousands of loyal County fans that couldn't make it. And boy did they sing!
When the players ran out of the tunnel before kick-off, I made a point of watching the home fans to see how they reacted when their team ran out and compared that to how the County fans reacted. And from where I was stood, my honest conclusion was that the balloons, ticker tape, party poppers, singing, clapping, cheering, whistling and the sheer wall of noise that greeted the County team stunned the home fans into silence. Don't get me wrong, the Wycombe fans supported their team when they came out but there was only one thing that could be heard around the ground and that was chants of 'Jimmy Gannon's Blue & White Army'. This carried on for a lot of the match; there were a few periods where the Wycombe fans could be heard singing after they had gone 1-0 up but no matter, the County faithful continued to show their support.

This isn't a unique instance for County, though, as we have one of the best average away supports in Coca-Cola Leagues 1 and 2. Wherever we travel to watch our team we go with passion and pride and we make that known to all those around us. We really are the 12th man and I know that everyone involved with County is proud to know that our fans are amongst the best in the world and give the players the support they need on the pitch.

Today's play-off final decider needs the 12th man to carry on where we left off last week at Adams Park. So far, it's all square on the pitch and we need every County fan in the ground to sing their hearts out, clap, cheer and wave your scarves & flags to let the lads on the pitch know we are right behind them. So as Delia Smith once shouted at half time to the Norwich supporters "We need a 12th man here today, where are you, where are you!"

I know where our 12th man will be today, they will be with every kick, header, volley and tackle that takes place on that pitch today and they will make sure that the opposition know it!

Have a great evening and I very much hope to be seeing you at Wembley in the not too distant future.
