Stockport County Supporters Trust
"One day all football clubs will wish they were like Stockport County"

David Hoyle gives us an update from the Trust

There was a great turnout of Stockport County fans at Huddersfield Town on Saturday who by and large out-sang and out- cheered the home fans – it was noticeable that the County players came to applaud their fans at the end of the game whereas the home players scuttled off to the dressing room! This shows the bond that runs through the Stockport County family which will give us the strength to do well over the coming season. As you might expect I would put a lot of this down to the Supporters Trust ownership of the Club for although as in any family, we have rows and fallouts, we are all working to the same end – survival and success for Stockport County.

However it is not enough to enjoy the ride – we must be the best we can be, both on the field and off it. The Stockport County board are working hard to develop a sound future for the Club and the management and staff are likewise striving to a build a successful business. You can help them by getting your employer to try a sponsorship or a programme advert for example.

In the Supporters Trust we are looking to involve more people in the organization - to help push the Club forward by helping with fund raising for example. It needn`t take up much time or involve any special skills but your participation would be rewarded by your knowing that you are an important member of the family. If you are wondering whether you could something great for Stockport County have a look on the Trust website www.stockportcoutytrust.com  or phone me on 07771 886289 to talk through the possibilities.

Not a Trust member? - then you should be if you feel the future of Stockport County matters. It only cost £12 and entitles you to be a “fully paid up” member of the Stockport County family.
