Steve Bedder gives us an update on the Local Business Affiliate Scheme
Good Afternoon everyone; and a warm welcome to all those that have made the short trip down the M66 from Accrington.
As some of you will know, the Trust have been working with local businesses to help them promote their products and services within the Stockport County fan base. The Local Business Affiliate scheme was designed to allow small to medium company’s within the Stockport area to advertise themselves via printed publications, such as TrustTalk and True Blue, and also online via the Trust website.
We launched the scheme early in the New Year with three levels of member, Gold, Silver and Bronze, each offering different levels of benefits to the member. After a few months of promoting this scheme we already have a number of affiliates that are taking advantage of the benefits on offer.
Each of the three affiliate levels offers great value benefits to local businesses, not only to promote their business but to also introduce them, their family, friends and colleagues to Stockport County Football Club. A number of affiliates that have joined have never been to Edgeley Park to see County before – they have now and they will be back!
Becoming a Gold or Silver affiliate entitled the business to enter one of two draws that recently took place. All the Gold affiliates were entered into a draw to win the use of a pitch side advertising hoarding until next season and Silver members were entered into a draw to win a player sponsorship package. I’m very pleased to announce that the winners were:
Gold Affiliate Winner:
Fireplace & Furnishing Direct,
Kennerley House Stables, Kennerley Road, Davenport, SK2 6EY
Tel: 0161 480 6779
Silver Affiliate Winner:
The Florist Hotel,
100 Shaw Heath, Stockport, SK2 6QS.
Tel: 0161 666 0405
Congratulations to both of the winners!
The LBA scheme is a continuing scheme, we have already had a number of local businesses sign up and start to realise the benefits of working with the Trust and we will continue to sign new affiliates over the coming months.
We have also benefited as a Trust, as all the money raised from the LBA scheme goes directly into the Rainy Day Fund. We have also been able to talk to many many local business owners and employees to strengthen the strong community relations already in place.
If you know of a local business, or you own a business that might benefit from seeing your company details along with product, service and contact information in front of a potential 5000 fans on a weekly basis, it’s simple and great value. And it also helps your Stockport County!
Simply email lba@stockportcountytrust.com or visit www.stockportcountytrust.com/lba for more information and to also find out more details about the current LBA members. You won’t regret it.
Thanks for reading, have a great afternoon.
C’mon County!
