Edgeley Park Buy Back Fund is Launched.
There’s only one thing to mention at the start of this week’s notes, and that’s http://www.groundforapound.com. You should by now have seen the advertisements and articles across various media from the Stockport Express to the Official website. It’s proving so popular that the site is already generating a significant amount of traffic. So much so that the web server behind it will be upgraded to a more powerful box to let everyone sign up. Mention it to anyone and everyone you know! Ownership of Edgeley Park is an emotive subject for us all and one sure to bring all County fans together. This is a great initiative for all to support – I’m already earmarking an area of pixels to “claim”. Details of other ways apart from the internet of how to contribute and claim your space will be made available as well.
In other Trust news, membership renewals are arriving all the time, which is always appreciated as there can never be too many Trust members out there. We had a small issue with stamps on a few renewals posted out, apologies if you were affected and the issue has been resolved going forward.
While occasionally it may appear the Trust is “quiet” rest assured this is never the case and there is always something to do and ideas to progress. There are still regular updates to the Trust Website, and these programme notes each week, plus the Trust Base which roams around the ground – it was outside in the Cheadle End car park at a previous home game and we’ll be trying to move it around again during the run in to the end of the season. There is also going to be a “Trust Day” at a game before the end of the season, which will give you another chance to meet anyone and ask questions etc. The Membership Survey has completed and results/comments will be published on the Trust Website and in the near future, we’ll have an open meeting to run through it – details of that to follow but they’ll be announced in the programme and local media.
It’s going to be an exciting run in to the end of the season, with the team doing well on the pitch. Fingers crossed that we can continue the run of form, today’s game will no doubt be a tricky one and I expect that we’ll see one of the biggest away attendances of the season. Enjoy the game.
