Progress on the Booth Street development continues, and I make no apologies for mentioning it, as I do believe it will be the catalyst for fundamental changes at Edgeley Park.

We have future meetings planned in the near future with Stockport MBC and will keep everyone abreast of the progress we are making. I think it is important to also take this opportunity to reiterate our willingness to work with Cheshire Sport in the future development of Edgeley Park for the mutual benefit of supporters and the community at large.

Also on a positive note, and not before time, we are helping to provide the Stockport County Disabled Supporters Association with a new minibus to make their journeys to far away places a much more pleasurable experience - although a couple of wins might help!

It will be fully “logo’d” and will create a wonderful impression wherever it may go.

On the business development side, may I say thank you to Martin Booker for the 100 Club Networking Event the other evening which was a great success and continues the theme by which sponsors of the club benefit by doing business with each other - thanks to the sponsors too for their kind support.

It is imperative that businesses see investing in the club as a way of increasing either awareness or their profitability, and could I kindly ask where you do have a choice and prices are competitive, that you support the sponsors that support Stockport County.

On a similar note there are a number of household names that provide links on the Trust website, you will still get the same excellent price from whoever you choose, but the Trust will receive a small commission on the transaction.

I’m sure Christine wouldn’t forgive me if I didn’t mention the fact that the new shirts are now available from the club shop after the initial run of 1000 shirts sold out in the first week of the season.

May I take this opportunity to (once again) say thank you for the exceptional support we receive both at home and away - at most of our away games the home supporters are “gob-smacked” by the level of support given by the magnificent Blue & White Army.

I promise you that it is greatly appreciated by all the management team and you can rest assured that we will strive to give you a team that you and the town can be proud of.
