David Hoyle gives us some Credit Cruch facts
FACT : In the five seasons from 2001 and 2006, the 92 Football League clubs made accumulated losses of over one thousand million pounds.
FACT : Since the 1987 Insolvency Act, 56 of the 92 Football League clubs have been in administration ( some of them more than once! )
FACT : Stockport County lost almost one and a half million pounds in the last two years of the previous ownership.
This was the grim financial background that faced Stockport County when the Supporters Trust took ownership and the onset of the credit crunch will only make life harder. We run a tight ship here at Stockport County and no one on the Trust Board or the County Board (other than the employed MD), takes a penny out of the Club. Nevertheless it is a tough business to survive in and this can only be done by everyone pulling together, being generous with your support as a Fan or a Sponsor and by being successful in the League and Cup competitions.
What can YOU do?
- Bring a friend or two to a game to swell the gate receipts

- Buy your Christmas presents on line at www.countyclubshop.co.uk or from the Club Shop
- Support the SCFC Lottery, the half time draw or the Trust`s sponsor a goal scheme
- Join the Supporters Trust for £12 ( see stockportcounty trust.com )
