Our thanks go to John Narraway, Gail Feay & Steve Mundy of the Silkmen Supporters' Trust who acted as independent scrutineers of the election. You can see their statement on the election below.

Statement from The Silkmen Trust:

On the 24th October 2006, Dave Hoyle of the Stockport County Supporters' Trust delivered 193 ballot papers and a computer memory stick containing the preference votes on the valid ballot papers to the Silkmen Supporters Trust.

The ballot papers were firstly checked to ensure they were all valid. Two were rejected as being spoilt. The remaining papers were then checked to ensure that they were all uniquely numbered. Finally the preference votes on the computer memory stick were verified against the ballot papers.

A computer program that runs the Single Transferable Voting Election was then run using the verified preference votes.

The following five candidates are elected:

  • Mark Evans
  • George Hudson
  • Gary Kimber
  • Dan Levy
  • Martin White
