The annual election of Trust Board Members is now due to take place.
This year there are five vacancies on the Trust Board and, as usual no specific posts are up for election - the elected Board will determine who will operate in which role (Chair, Secretary, etc.) depending on the skills of the members of the “new” Trust Board.
In accordance with the Trust Rules, members who are aged 18 or over are eligible to stand as candidates in the election. If you wish to nominate yourself as a candidate you should send your nomination, together with your election address/manifesto, to the registered office address or to info@stockportcountytrust.com
Nominations must arrive by midnight on 25th September 2006.
Your election address/manifesto should be no more than 250 words in length. Although the contents of your election address/manifesto is entirely up to you, you may wish to consider including your age, your experience and any work you have previously undertaken for the Trust. There is no need to mention how long you have been a member of the Trust as we will be adding this information for you. If you wish to include a passport sized photograph of yourself, you may do so, and if you do, it will be included with the information that will be sent to the electorate.
We do not intend to hold hustings, however, if you wish to provide the electorate with a method of contacting you and asking you questions (eg. an email address) you can include this with the information you send and this will not count as being part of your 250 words.
If more than five candidates stand for election it will be conducted using the Single Transferable Vote (STV) system.
I would also like to take this opportunity to give you advance notice that the AGM will be held on Friday, 27th October 2006. If you have any motions or proposals that you wish to add to the agenda you should send them to us at the address/email address given below, to arrive no later than 25th September 2006. Further details of the AGM, the agenda and official notice of the AGM will be sent to you in due course.
