The Stockport County Trust today (Thursday 10th Feb, 2004) attended a meeting with executives of Cheshire Sports to discuss the speculation surrounding the ownership of Stockport County Football Club.

Mr Kennedy was open and honest in expressing his concerns regarding the future of our football club. These discussions are on going.

As discussions are at an early stage there is an element of confidentiality over some of the information revealed, in this respect I'm sure you will agree that we have to respect Cheshire Sports wishes that full details are not made public.

We as a trust board fully understand the frustrations and fears of every County supporter, particularly with the lack of information that we are able to divulge at this moment in time.

However we would ask for your patience and trust, we can assure you that discussions are taking place with the best interests of Stockport County at heart, and which we hope will see a positive conclusion for the future of our beloved football club.
